Mac Applications
and how they do with
Unicode text
of the
HTML 4.0 special characters

I tried to open my Unicode test file in these Mac apps on 1999-02-22 and this is what I got. When I indicate that an app can't do Unicode at all, I mean that it opens the file and treats it as if it is a sequence of bytes, so it seems to look sort-of OK until you get to the characters whose high byte is not 0.

General Edit Lite, the only app I got anywhere with, isn't really a text editor. It's more like an interactive data dump program.
